GGF Recap- Full of Luck and Melissa Jane score allowance wins- 3/15/2019 & 3/16/2019

Friday (March 15th) Recap:

Melissa Jane made it 2 consecutive wins after her wire-to-wire allowance win on Friday. After the scratch of Qafilah, the race seemed pretty void of pace. Julien Couton played the break well and got aggressive to send Melissa Jane to a comfortable 1 length lead. The Great Britain bred daughter of Foxwedge was able to relax after setting moderate fractions of 24.46 for the 1/4 and 49.96 for the 1/2. As they turned for home, she was full of run and cruised to a 2 1/2 length victory. Leonard Powell has this 5yo mare improving, as she moved up from a 32k claimer to this 62k Allowance O/C level. She is now 7 for 23 lifetime, and a perfect 2 for 2 over the tapeta. Running 2nd today was Vevina for Phil D’Amato. And rounding out the trifecta was the favorite Meal Ticket– it was her first time on a synthetic track, and it was her first start off of a lengthy layoff. The final time for this 1 1/16m race was 1:44.99.

In the feature (Race 8), Royal Descendent was able to rally from the back of the pack to score by 1 1/4 lengths– it was a 62k Allowance O/C sprint. After getting away from the gate with no urgency, she sat and let the race unfold in front of her. She made an easy eye-catching move under Juan Hernandez on the turn, and then had a strong sustained bid in the lane. Royal Descendent is now 3 for 6 lifetime and is now 2 for 2 over tapeta. The 4yo Awesome Again filly is out of the multiple graded stakes winning mare Sweet August Moon. She is also a perfect 2 for 2 since joining the Andy Mathis barn. Ima Happy Cat and Shasta Star finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. The final time for Royal Descendent’s 6f win was 1:10.18.

Ladymidtown was able to break her maiden in the 5th race. This MSW was at 1 1/16m on the main track for 3yo fillies. She broke from the far outside post in this field of 10 and jockey Abel Cedillo did a good job using some early zip to get her into a nice stalking position. She would make an easy move on the turn and extend nicely in the lane to win by 2 1/2 lengths going away. Trainer Doug O’Neill put the blinkers on her for the first time today, and they appeared to put more speed and focus into her. She had strong form lines coming into this spot. 2 races back, she ran a close 5th behind stakes winners Lakerball and Summering. Holding 2nd was Equal Measure, and Zahra was able to grab 3rd. Ladymidtown stopped the clock in 1:46.45.

Jockeys: The top 2 jockeys in the standings, Abel Cedillo and Juan Hernandez, each had riding doubles on Friday’s 9-race card.

Trainers: All 9-races on the card were won by different trainers.

Saturday (March 16th) Recap:

Full of Luck in the paddock for the 2018 G3 San Francisco Mile

The 4th race may have had a small field, but on paper it was a very competitive no-condition Allowance route race for older horses. However, as they turned for home, it instantly became apparent that this was going to be a 2-horse race. After setting the pace, the South American Grade 1 winner Full of Luck would dig down deep in the stretch under jockey William Antongeorgi– he fought back gamely to win after being headed by the favorite Mithqaal. Full of Luck was last seen running a non-competitive 5th in a 7f race at Santa Anita. The decision to ship him up North and to geld him seemed to do the trick for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. This son of Lookin At Lucky is now 9 for 21 lifetime, and it will be interesting to see if he can build off his first win in North America. Finishing 3rd was the mare Bella Luna, and it looks like this was possibly a step to get her ready to defend her title in the Golden Poppy Stakes. Full of Luck ran the 1 1/16m distance in 1:44.98.

In today’s 7th race, ‘Horses to Watch’ horse Fabriana had a dominant win going 1m in this 4k Starter Allowance heat. This was her first start for trainer John Martin who claimed her for 8k after a traffic-filled previous start. Today, she got a much cleaner trip and showed what she was capable of. She sat unhurried in 5th under Juan Hernandez on the backstretch, and made a bold 3 wide rally on the turn. She would totally outclass this field in the stretch by putting an easy 6 length margin between herself and the others. This 4yo daughter of Skipshot is now an impressive 5 for 7 lifetime routing on synthetic surfaces. Running 2nd to her was the pace-setting Missionelle, and then it was a gap of 5 lengths back to Revenue Virginius in 3rd. Fabriana ran the mile in 1:37.82

Jockeys: Catalino Martinez had a huge day scoring 3 wins on the card.

  1. Cedillo *73* 2. Hernandez *55* 3. Martinez *39*

Trainers: Victor Trujillo had a training double on the day. He won races 3 and 5.

  1. Wong *51* 2. Hollendorfer *17* T-3. Morey, Delia, Trujillo *16*

Live racing resumes Sunday with a 12-race Dollar Day card. Yes, you read that right– 12 races on the card! First post is at 12:45pm.

GGF Recap- Left Alone wins North American debut 3/14/2019

The 4yo filly Left Alone made her fist start in North America after she went winless in her 6 prior starts in England. She had 2 2nds and all her prior races were at sprint distances. She did not show too much speed in her previous starts and today’s MSW field looked loaded with speed. However, she broke good and was sent out to the front by Abel Cedillo. She set a solid pace and was able to hold on after shaking free in the stretch. The most impressive thing about this performance was that the other speed that went with her (horses sitting 2nd and 3rd early) finished in 5th and 6th in the field of 7. She was bet down to 4/1 off of a 10/1 morning line, and she was sporting a bullet ‘best of 41’ workout heading into this one (5f in 1:00.40). The daughter of Reckless Abandon is now 1 for 7 lifetime, and has shown she can handle both the tapeta and turf– there should be plenty of spots for her going forward. Trainer Manuel Badilla has had quite a few European imports recently, and has seemed to have a bit of success with them– when he gets a private purchase in the barn from Europe, they can usually run. Scattering Mink was able to rally on strongly for 2nd, and Starza was able to claim 3rd. The final time for this 6f race was 1:10.58.

It was great to see Cartoonist get back-to-back wins in the 5th race. He had really been struggling to find his form, but a drop in class to this 16k level has seemed to do him wonders. Trainer Michael Lenzini has him going good right now and it will be interesting to see if he can continue to build off of these wins. He won gate-to-wire by 1 3/4 lengths today, and he ran the 5.5f in 1:03.90.

Speed played very strongly today, and it is definitely something to note for your handicapping when these horses run back.

Jockeys: Abel Cedillo and Catalino Martinez both had riding doubles on today’s 7-race card.

  1. Cedillo *71* 2. Hernandez *52* 3. Martinez *36*

Trainers: William Delia had a double on the day. He scored in the opener with Bitte and the nightcap with Beer Slinger.

  1. Wong *50* T-2. More, Hollendorfer *16*

Live racing resumes tomorrow with a 9-race card. First post is at 12:45pm. Meal Ticket, who was last seen running a good 4th in the G2 John C Mabee stakes, returns off the layoff in race 4.

GGF Recap- Sound Judgment scores decisive debut victory- 3/10/2019

Sound Judgment looks like a serious colt with a promising future. This 3yo gelding made his debut in a cal-bred MSW going 5 1/2f. He was sporting some very quick workouts heading into this race, and his trainer Greg James can get them ready first-out. Sound Judgment broke like a rocket and was sent straight to the lead by jockey William Antongeorgi. He carved out swift opening fractions up front (21.83, 44.76), and then kicked on with it to win by a dominant and easy 4 lengths. This was a very promising effort, and the speed figure should reflect that. The final time for the race was a swift 1:03.02. Leadville finished well off the layoff for 2nd, and Starring John Wain was able to get 3rd. Sound Judgment is by The Pamplemousse and out of a Street Sense mare. There is a lot of route pedigree on the dam side, and he is also a 1/2 brother to a Southern California route stakes winner in Shades of Victory. A few years ago we saw a cal-bred star in the James barn in Smokey Image. Could this be the next one? Only time will tell.

Also, making his first start on the tapeta, Moonoverthebayou showed a strong turn of foot to break his maiden in race 9. He was coming out of races down south and had the fastest sprinting speed figure in the field coming into this one. The son of New Year’s Day was loaded the whole way, and showed a strong finish in the lane to score by 4. Abel Cedillo did a great job keeping him out of trouble. The Bob Hess Jr runner stopped the clock in 1:10.36 for 6f. Sly ran on nicely for 2nd and showed some promise in his first start. Son of Smalls was able to hang on for 3rd.

Jockeys: Leading jockey Abel Cedillo led the way today with 2 wins. The other 8 races were won by 8 different riders.

  1. Cedillo *69* 2. Hernandez *52* 3. Martinez *34*

Trainers: It was a competitive day. All 10 races were won by different trainers.

  1. Wong *50* T-2. Morey, Hollendorfer *16*

A new ‘Horses to Watch’ list will be dropping on Wednesday, so be on the lookout for that.

Live racing resumes Thursday with a 7-race program. First post is 12:45pm.

GGF Recap- Catalino Martinez hits 1k milestone- 3/9/2019

A special milestone was achieved by jockey Catalino Martinez in race 1. He was able to get win number 1,000! He started riding in 2004 and has had a lot of ups and downs in terms of wins. 2016, 2017, and 2018 have been the 3 best years of his career in terms of money earned (2016- $1,568,797 2017- $2,144,523 2018- $1,868,441). Martinez has gotten off to a solid start in 2019, and is curently 3rd in the jockey standings with 34 wins. It was really great to see all his hard work pay off, and his fellow jockeys knew how big of an accomplishment this was. After the win, many of them dumped champagne and water on the newly crowned 1000 win jockey.

In just her 2nd career start, California Canter was able to break the maiden in Race 8. She was coming off a nice 3rd at this 39k State-bred MSW level and was looking to rebound today with a cozier post position. Today, the daughter of Fullbridled broke well and sat in between many others stalking the pace. She was in-tight a bit, but jockey Francisco Monroy did a great job getting her to relax. She made an easy move along the inside on the turn, and then was wheeled out into the 3-path in the stretch where she held on gamely to win by a neck. Trainer Holly Evans gave California Canter a 7f drill leading into this race, and it appeared to have given her a lot more finish in the lane today. Running a close 2nd was Tamaraandtheboys, and finishing 3rd was the first-time starter Rebalation. The final time for the 5.5f race was 1:04.18.

The 7th race on the card was a 6250 claimer for 3yos, and it was won by Brilliant Richie. He was coming off a maiden win sprinting at the 8k level, and now he was stretching out to a mile and facing winners for the first time. Also, today was his first start for the Jonathan Wong barn. He sat off the leader in 2nd, and then made a move to the lead at the top of the stretch. Jockey Heriberto Figueroa had a lot left in the tank, and once he asked the son of Brilliant Speed, he kicked clear to win by a dominant 7 lengths. Brilliant Richie ran the mile in 1:39.96.

In the finale, Builder got up just in time to score a 50k Starter Allowance win. He was stepping up from the 12.5k claiming level, and was also a first-off the claim win for trainer Isidro Tamayo. There was a lot of speed on paper, and it ended up playing out that way (1/2 went in 46.46, 3/4 went in 1:10.94). Builder had to check a bit in the stretch but was able to re-rally strongly and get up on the line by a neck over Katie’s Cowboy. Mr Gees Journey managed to hold on for 3rd after pressing the quick pace. The final time was 1:37.05 for the mile.

Jockeys: Julien Couton had a huge day with a riding triple. Francisco Monroy had a nice 2-win day.

  1. Cedillo *67* 2. Hernandez *52* 3. Martinez *34*

Trainers: Steve Sherman had a double on the day. He won races 5 and 9.

  1. Wong *49* 2. Hollendorfer *16* T-3. Morey, Rivelli *15*

Live racing resumes Sunday with a strong 10-race Dollar Day card. First post is at 12:45pm.

GGF Recap- Mugaritz highlights 4-win day for Wong- 3/8/2019

Mugaritz in the paddock prior to the 2018 El Camino Real Derby

Mugaritz continued his winning ways in Race 6, as he went on to claim his 3rd straight victory. It was an Allowance Optional Claimer for 4yos and up going 1 1/16m on the main track. After being runner-up in last year’s California Derby, he made 2 starts on the Derby trail before being sidelined for 9 months. He’s had 2 prior starts since his return and he won both those races. Today he broke well and jockey Abel Cedillo got him into a perfect position sitting in 2nd. The son of Dialed In relaxed very well and made a nice easy move around the far turn. He responded strongly in the stretch and kicked on to score by 1 3/4 lengths for trainer Jonathan Wong. Rounding out the exacta and trifecta were Choo Choo and More Power to Him respectively. The final time for the race was a quick 1:43.75. The one thing that I think makes Mugaritz so dangerous, is that he has developed the ability to make his own trip. Early on in his career he was having success by going straight to the front and trying to run the others off their feet. He must have matured a lot since the layoff, because he is now showing the ability to sit patiently off the pace. He has been a cool horse to follow, as he always puts in a game effort. It will be interesting to see where connections go next with the 4yo gelding. The turf course opening up soon should give him some more options, as he has shown ability over both surfaces. Speaking of turf, I would imagine the 250k G3 San Francisco Mile on April 27th is a future spot that they could take a look at too.

The same connections of Jonathan Wong, Abel Cedillo, and owner Alejandro Mercado also took the 5th race with The Creep. The waters in the El Camino Real Derby were too deep for him, and it seems like he has found a home at Golden Gate Fields. His now 2 for 4 lifetime record at the track also includes a stakes placing. The 3yo son of Twirling Candy pressed the leader Our Silver Oak all the way around, and then showed a ton of grit in the stretch to kick on and win by 1 1/2 lengths. The Creep ran the 1 1/16m in 1:45.14.

The Creep in the paddock for the 2019 El Camino Real Derby

Wong also took race 4 with the Irish-bred mare Snow Cloud. She snuck through on the rail to get up on the wire in a 3-way photo. And in the finale, he won with first time acquisition Kichiro– the 3yo son of Preakness champ Oxbow scored by an easy 4 lengths to break his maiden.

It was great to see Gettin Sideways come out on top in the 5th race today. It was a 1 1/16m first condition Allowance. She had a really rough trip getting blocked with no where to run last time out. Today, she got a clean run and held off a late surge from stakes-winner The Spiral Jetter. This 4yo daughter of Grazen has proven to be quite the claim for trainer Dan Markle. She was claimed for 12.5k in the debut and went off at odds of 16/1. After today’s win, she has now banked $84,204. The final time for the race was 1:44.90.

Gettin Sideways in the post parade 12/29/2018

Jockeys: The top 2 jockeys in the standings Abel Cedillo and Juan Hernandez both had huge afternoons. They each won 3 races on the 8-race program.

  1. Cedillo *67* 2. Hernandez *52* 3. Martinez *33*

Trainers: Leading trainer Jonathan Wong had another big 4-win day at the winter/spring meet.

  1. Wong *48* 2. Hollendorfer *16* 3. Rivelli *15*

Live racing resumes tomorrow with a 10-race card. First post is at 12:45pm.

GGF Recap- Visitant scores powerful debut win- 3/7/2019

Word spread quickly that the William Morey trained son of Ghostzapper in race 4 could run– he opened up as the heavy odds-on favorite, but would ultimately drift up and go off as the 7/5 2nd choice. As the gates opened, first-timer Visitant bumped with the rail horse and got away pretty slowly. He would sit patiently in 4th on the inside under jockey William Antongeorgi. It looked like he was going to be boxed in, but a path on the rail suddenly opened and he exploded through to score by an easy 4 lengths– it was done so effortlessly. He has such a long beautiful stride, and being by Ghostzapper, he should love any added distance. William Morey has had some nice debut winners this meet– Visitant joins the likes of stablemates In Cahoots and Desert Myst. He stopped the clock for the 5.5f in 1:04.51. Roman Rush sustained a decent bid on the outside to claim 2nd, and the other first-time starter Dub Town rallied well for 3rd.

The 6th race on the card was the feature, and it was won in an upset by the 6/1 shot Killarney Lass. It was a 1m Allowance/ Optional Claimer for 3yo fillies. She was sent to the lead under Frank Alavarado and never looked back, as she went on to win by 1 3/4 lengths. The 3yo daughter of Eskendereya has been steadily improving for trainer Frank Lucarelli. She broke her maiden by double digits in the slop at Emerald Downs, then came back to take a 5f off the turf Starter Allowance, and then ran a nice 3rd off a wide trip at today’s level last time out. Lucarelli has a neat filly on his hands as she has shown the ability to run well on dirt, tapeta, sprinting, and going long. Also she should have no issues handling turf since she is out of a More Than Ready mare. Oh My Oh finished well to complete the exacta, and Hollywood Hills’ 4-race win-streak came to an end as she could only manage 3rd in her route debut. The final time for race 6 was 1:38.75.

Jockeys: Juan Hernandez and William Antongeorgi both scored doubles on the 7-race card.

  1. Cedillo *64* 2. Hernandez *49* 3. Martinez *33*

Trainers: William Morey bagged 2 winners on the day. He won with Uber Star in Race 2 and Visitant in Race 4.

  1. Wong *44* 2. Hollendorfer *16* 3. Rivelli *15*

Live racing continues tomorrow with an 8-race card. First post is at 12:45pm. In the feature (Race 7), we see a rematch from last year’s California Derby– the 1-2 runners Choo Choo and Mugaritz square off again.

Horses to Watch (Feb 28-Mar 3)

‘Horses to Watch’ highlights horses that should be followed for potential wagering options in the future. Virtual stables or stable mail are good tools to help you follow along.

There are 2 horses featured on this week’s list.

Morton Glory (Mar 1: Race 9) Made the career debut here for 12.5k. Took no money at the windows and was sent off at 25/1. Got away from the gate slow and did not show much energy early. Made a nice sustained bid from last and rallied on very well in the stretch to finish a very close 2nd. Also, he closed into a loose leader that went gate-to-wire. Gallop out was strong. Should get a lot out of this race, and will be tough next out at this level.

Fabriana (Mar 3: Race 4) Broke well and got a nice spot on the rail. Sat in a comfortable spot within a length of the lead. She was loaded, but got boxed in through most of the stretch. Once she found room, she ran on strongly for 3rd. Also, she was claimed by one of the top ‘First-Off The Claim’ trainers John Martin. Was much the best here and should be super tough next out off the claim.

GGF Recap- Lucky Antares gets breakthrough victory- 3/3/2019

Lucky Antares during the post parade on 12-29-2018

After coming off an extremely unlucky trip last time out, Lucky Antares came back today to take the Sunday feature. She broke very alertly from the 3 post, and jockey Ricky Gonzalez did a great job to get her in a forward position just behind the leaders. A clear lane opened in the 3 path in the stretch and she was full of run– she kicked on to score by 3/4 of a length and paid $25.60. The 4yo daughter of Lucky Pulpit has now earned her 4th career victory from 22 starts. Her trainer Steve Specht has done a great job keeping her sound and progressing her up the ranks. She has always been pretty close at the wire, but just hadn’t been able to put it all together at this level. She went from running Beyers in the 60s to what appears to be back-to-back in the 70s. It will be interesting to see if she can continue to improve and if today’s win gives her confidence to start piecing more wins together. Flying late for 2nd was Plum Wild at 20/1 and ‘Horses to Watch’ horse Kelly could only hang on for 3rd at 13/1. The final time for this first condition allowance field going 5.5f was 1:03.52.

The 7th race on the card may have only been a maiden claimer, but it was one of the most exciting races we’ve seen so far at this meet. Bill’s Happy Hour was the heavy favorite dropping in from MSW races, and Getaloadofthis was shipping in from Santa Anita. The two hooked up at the top of the stretch and duked it out the rest of the way. They couldn’t be split at the line– yes, it was a dead-heat! Both got their diplomas from the maiden ranks and they were trained by Sergio Ledezma and Jerry Hollendorfer respectively. The 25k maiden claimers ran the 6f in 1:10.00.

Jockeys: Frank Alvarado and Ricky Gonzalez each scored 2 wins on the 9-race program.

  1. Cedillo *64* 2. Hernandez *47* 3. Martinez *33*

Trainers: It was a competitive card. All 9 races were won by different trainers.

  1. Wong *44* 2. Hollendorfer *16* 3. Rivelli *15*

There will be a new ‘Horses to Watch’ list out on Wednesday.

Handle was strong on Sunday’s Dollar Day card, as it totalled $3,640,279.

Live racing resumes Thursday with a 7-race program. First post is at 12:45pm, and it is the only track running in California that day. In the feature, 3yo filly Hollywood Hills tries to make it 5-straight wins. She makes her 2-turn debut in race 6.

GGF Recap- Gray Gem takes feature. Cedillo bags 3 wins- 3/2/2019

Gray Gem took the 1 1/16m Allowance feature that ran as race 8 on the card. The son of Matty G stalked the pace and saved all the ground on the inside under William Antongeorgi. He was shifted out into the 2-path and ran down the pace-setting River of Champagne to score by 3 lengths. This was his 2nd start for trainer Jonathan Wong after being claimed for 20k in January. River of Champagne and stablemate Thorn Hill Cat rounded out 2nd and 3rd respectively. The final time for the 1 1/16m race was 1:44.20.

Last seen in July running against future stakes winner Mother Mother, Creative Romance came back today to take a 5.5f MSW. The 40k Fasig Tipton October purchase showed a series of consistent works, and was making her first start with the blinkers on. Trainer Ed Moger must have had confidence in her for him to enter her in an open MSW at Del Mar’s summer meet. Today she broke well and sat in a nice outside stalking position under Alejandro Gomez. She ran on strongly in the stretch to just get up by a neck over the gritty pace-setting debut runner Three Karyots. Another first-time starter Illapawnie rallied up to hit the trifecta. Unfortantely at the start of the race, the heavy favorite Smiling Sunset broke inward from the rail and lost the rider Julien Couton. I believe everything is ok with both of them. Creative Romance stopped the clock in 1:04.77.

The Jonathan Wong trained Johnny Reb made it 3 straight wins on Saturday. After 2 straight blowout wins at the 25k claiming level, he came back against a tough field and was able to get the job done again. This win was different than his previous 2 wins, as he sat off the pace this time. The 8yo son of One Man Army is as good as ever, and has proven to be a very handy claim. Since being claimed for 25k by the Wong barn last year, Johnny Reb has had 3 wins and 2 seconds from 5 starts (all at the 25k claiming level). The final time for the 6f race was 1:09.73.

Jockeys: Leading jockey Abel Cedillo had a huge day, scoring wins in races 2, 4, and 9. Also, Alejandro Gomez had a nice 2-win day.

  1. Cedillo *63* 2. Hernandez *46* 3. Martinez *33*

Trainers: 3 trainers took 2 trips to the winner’s circle today. Jonathan Wong had wins in races 4 and 8. Victor Trujillo took the opening double on the card. And Ed Moger took races 3 and 7 on the program.

  1. Wong *44* T-2. Hollendorfer, Rivelli *15*

Live racing resumes on Sunday with a 9-race Dollar Day card. First post is 12:45pm.

GGF Recap- Richiesinthehouse Scores 3rd Win of the Meet- 3/1/2019

Since coming to Golden Gate Fields in January, Richiesinthehouse has solidified himself as arguably the top sprinter on the grounds. Coming off 2 no-condition Allowance wins this meet, he returned today at the same level to score by an impressive 4 lengths. He has continued to show his dominance on synthetic surfaces, as he is now 8 for 10 lifetime with 2 seconds. Jockey Frank Alvarado sent him to the lead from the outside post and never looked back. In the stretch, this son of Sidney’s Candy opened up on the field with ease and stopped the clock in 1:09.02 for 6f. Larry Rivelli has Richiesinthehouse going well, and I would imagine the goal this meet for the 5yo gelding is the 75k Lost in the Fog Stakes on Gold Rush weekend in April.

Since being put on the shelf after a cal-bred stake at Del Mar over the summer, Cozze Kid came back to win a 6f 40k Optional Claimer in her 3yo debut. The Jamey Thomas trainee rated off the lead and powered home well in the stretch to take a 2 1/2 length victory. The synthetic surface might be the difference maker for her as she is now 2 for 2 with a combined winning margin of 11 1/4 lengths. Empressive Cat stayed on strongly for 2nd. And then it was 3/4 of a length back to English Royality. Cozze Kid ran the 6f in 1:10.46.

Race 5 on the card was the feature, and it was a 5 1/2f first level Allowance race for 4yos and up. Mikes Tiznow shot straight to lead under Ricky Gonzalez and took the field of 12 all the way around. Today was his 2nd start off the layoff after having ran a close 2nd to Sir Vronski. This son of Slew’s Tiznow is continuing to improve for trainer Andy Mathis and will definitely move up once the turf course opens– 5f on the grass seems like his preferred trip. Pricey purchase Goren ran on well to get 2nd, and American Currency was able to hold on for 3rd.

Jockeys: William Antongeorgi and Frank Alvarado each scored 2 wins on the day.

  1. Cedillo *60* 2. Hernandez *45* 3. Martinez *33*

Trainers: Larry Rivelli catapulted into a share of 2nd after winning races 2 and 3 on the card.

  1. Wong *42* T-2. Hollendorfer, Rivelli *15*
